Summer Shipp's family wants more information after receiving anonymous letters
Kansas City Star
Relatives of a missing Kansas City woman said they had received anonymous letters about the disappearance and want more specific information.
Summer Shipp, then 54, disappeared Dec. 8 while doing market research in Independence.
Shipp's daughter, Brandy Shipp, said the letters indicated that Summer Shipp was seen in a confrontation with someone on an Independence street. The letters also gave a sketchy outline of a house and a vehicle, Brandy Shipp said.
Brandy Shipp said she would like whoever sent the letters to either call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS or continue writing letters with more specific information, such as an address where the confrontation occurred. Letters can be sent to “Friends of Summer,” P.O. Box 410821, Kansas City, MO. 64141-0821.
Independence police said they are aware of the letters and also hope for more specifics.
