Tina Porter and Brandy Shipp are each looking to national television audiences to help solve their missing persons cases.

Porter, whose two children have been missing since June, left this week for Los Angeles to tape a March 2 appearance on the Dr. Phil Show. Sam and Lindsey Porter were 7 and 8 years old when they disappeared.

Shipp leaves early next week for the Montel Williams Show in New York to talk about her mother, Summer Shipp, who has been missing since Dec. 8 when she was conducting surveys in Independence.

“You hope that someone will recognize her name or her face in pictures,” Brandy Shipp said. “We want to get the story out there.”

Porter's children were last seen leaving for a weekend visitation June 5 with their father, Daniel Porter. The father was arrested within days and remains in custody, but police say he has refused to cooperate with their investigation.
